Once the home of an Arab prince, Cortijo Soto Real has been sympathetically transformed into a 5 star hotel of immense character and quality. No effort has been spared to create a hotel that combines all the traditional values of Andalucian architecture with modern technology.

The extensive gardens provide abundant space for the swimming pool, lawns and terraces, while numerous paths will lead you on a little voyage of discovery through shrubs and arbours. For those with energy to burn, the 2000 acre estate provides the space for walking, running, cycling, horse-riding and even quad-biking, all without ever disturbing the tranquillity of those who choose a more leisurely form of holiday.

Each of the 24 rooms has a private balcony or terrace, where guests can look out over the ever-changing light of the Andalucian landscape. Comprehensive facilities and pristine decoration are a given, even including a jacuzzi-bath and separate shower for every room. The suites have sitting areas or separate sitting rooms and for the ultimate luxury that even includes a private butler, there is the Plaza de Toros. This is a separate house with three en-suite bathrooms, a lounge, a private swimming pool and inner and outer terraces.

To make the best of Cortijo Soto Real, you really need to take your time. As well as the pools, lounges, bar, restaurant and gardens, there is a gym and a full range of therapeutic and beauty treatments, a wide range of outdoor activities (the hotel even has its own stables) and the beautiful countryside and towns all around.

Restaurant:

The Al-Andalus restaurant is decorated in Andalucian Moorish style with traditional arches and columns and cool colours creating a pleasingly intimate ambience. On one side the large windows face out onto a terrace with palm trees, which in summer becomes an integral part of the restaurant. On the other the restaurant faces into an Andalucian patio, which again is used for lunches and dinners. A candle-lit dinner here, with fresh flowers on the tables and discreetly friendly waiting staff is an experience to be savoured. The chef takes typically local and regional dishes and skilfully adapts them for his wider international clientele.

Breakfast and lunch can be taken almost anywhere, outside under the lemon trees, by the pool, or in your room. The choice is yours.
