When is a hotel not a hotel? When it’s The Sea Club. The Cumberlege family came to this villa over 50 years ago, and have continued to run and own it ever since, evolving it into a small hotel that feels like a private house party. It’s a beautifully maintained old colonial residence on the edge of Cala Ratjada right on the edge of the Mediterranean. The hotel consists of 16 individually designed en-suite rooms with a hacienda style garden, private bar and a large swimming pool. Within the grounds, individual casitas, cottages, and sunny patios lend Mallorcan charm to this uniquely private place.

The Sea Club has an amazing relaxed atmosphere, and there are hidden little corners everywhere where guests can escape for a little solitude. Or for a little more company there is the bar where all guests seem to become immediate friends.

The rooms are highly individual, impeccably appointed in an eclectic mix with traditional Mallorcan, old English and contemporary modern furnishings. Naturally all rooms have bathrooms en-suite, some with a bath and others with just a shower. Many rooms have sea views where guests can watch yachts coming and going from the nearby marina and harbour, while the rest look onto the idyllic gardens and swimming pool.

The Sea Club is the perfect venue for visitors wanting the best of the present day blended with an ambience of former times. The position on the edge of the water is unbeatable, and the location in the north-east corner of the island gives easy access to long sandy beaches, the tiny calas of the east coast and the rocky coastline of the west.

During low and mid season The Sea Club offers bed and breakfast, during high season all bookings are half board.

Restaurant:

A typical continental breakfast is served or you can order a full English breakfast between 9 and 11 am. During high season lunch orders orders are taken from 1- 2:15 pm. Lunches consist of baguettes, gazpacho, salads and a dish of the day. Dinner during high season begins at the bar with tapas at 8:45pm, followed by dinner around 9:30pm, served on the front terrace overlooking the sea. House wine is included. Children are catered for according to age. Infants supper is served between 7-8:30pm. Depending on numbers dinner during low and mid season is served 3 or 4 times a week on request. Price 25€, wine included. Light snacks are available from the bar during low and mid season.
