El Reces retains traditional rustic character, whilst sympathetic renovations have preserved many original features. Nearly all of the building has the original stone walls and the oldest part has a guest room with a domed stone ceiling and even a glass-bottomed shower above the old well. The latest in fixtures and fittings give a luxury feel, while blending attractively with the rustic finish of the stone, tiles and woodwork, and the locally-made Catalan furniture set everything off perfectly.
The four guest rooms are very spacious each with their own unique character and features such as terraces or balconies. They all have private bathrooms, fridge, tea & coffee facilities, breakfast area & thermostatic heating.
Guests enjoy plenty of space, peace and privacy, with all rooms located off a central stairway leading up to the top floor lounge which was previously used as an artist's studio due to the large arched windows that flood it with light.. As one of the tallest houses in the village, the lounge and the roof-top terrace have picturesque views of the church and countryside over the other rooftops. Corca village has an un-spoilt feel with its medieval buildings, where many Catalan families have lived for generations.
Restaurant:
There isn't a restaurant at the hotel, but within a short walking distance there is a tapas bar/restaurant, plus other traditional Catalan restaurants within the village.Couples can take their breakfast in their room or on the terrace, while bigger groups may choose to have breakfast together in the main entrance hall.
A Word From the Owner:
"Open since 2003, we have a relaxed and flexible style and have many repeat bookings. We work hard on customer care during the booking procedure and throughout a guests stay, assisting with restaurant bookings, local transport requirements and information on places to visit/things to do. Jane is also a PGA golf professional providing golf packages at all the local championship courses and organising golf schools for guests."Hotel Amenities:

What We Say:
One of the loveliest houses in a lovely village. Lots of space and so exclusive: only four rooms.Customer Feedback:
"This was our 4th time there and once again we were delighted with the stay. From the beautiful renovated house with extremely comfortable rooms and bathrooms, lovely roof terrace, delicious breakfast, spotlessly clean facilities to the most perfect service from the owners Julia and Jane. Also highly recommend the local tapas restaurant and golf lessons with Jane."
"Spent our first night here on a recent trip to Catalunya with a friend. It's fantastic, so good in fact that we booked it for our last night as well. Beautiful old house with history, big rooms, super clean, comfortable beds, lovely helpful hosts. And the bathrooms are fantastic - sparkling and with brilliant showers!”
