El Molino del Puente was first used as a mill for making olive oil and flour in the 1700s and it remained in full working order until just 15 years ago. Built between two bridges, one of which dates back to 1750, the original millstones, machinery, and watercourse are all still in place and the latter is still functional.
The mill has been lovingly converted into a 10-bedroom rural hotel, retaining where possible all the old features to create a unique atmosphere. The gardens are built on two terraces landscaped with fruit trees which lead down to a delightful waterfall cascading into the River Guadalcobacin. This continuous presence of water means of course that the Molino del Puente is so much greener than this part of Spain generally.
The bright and modern bar offers a wide range of both hot & cold drinks, Elaine's famous champagne cocktails, tapas and homemade cakes for afternoon tea.
There are 10 ensuite bedrooms and extra
beds and cots are also available. The Superior double rooms have either a jacuzzi
bath or a handmade Moroccan style bath. There is a junior
suite which has its own separate lounge and the other five rooms are doubles,
two having large private terraces. All the rooms have beautiful views over the
courtyards, the river or the pool terrace. As well as having satellite television,
each room has ceiling fans, air conditioning and central heating.
Restaurant:
The restaurant is beautifully set around an open central fireplace and features much of the original mill machinery. In the summer months there is also dining on the riverside terrace. The chef has created an interesting international menu using only the finest of fresh local produce and seafood. The restaurant also offers an extensive wine list including many locally produced vintages and a wide selection of international wines.A Word From the Owner:

Places to visit:
Ronda (An amazing and fascinating town. The setting of its breathtaking ravine, dividing the old Moorish quarter from the new "Mercadillo" quarter, turns it into a unique place. The two parts of town are connected by an 18th century bridge where you can look straight down to the river 100 metres below.
Once captured by the Romans, later transformed into a Moorish stronghold and finally conquered by the Christians, the city is full of the remains of this rich and turbulent history.)
Granada (the Alhambra, and more)
Seville
Córdoba
Marbella
Serranía de Ronda (mountains)
Sierra de las Nieves (more and bigger mountains)
Various national (nature) parks
The Pueblos Blancos (white villages)
