There is a swimming pool surrounded by garden and sun terraces, and as well as the usual public accommodation the hotel also provides a games room with table tennis and billiards.
There are 11 double rooms, 2 family rooms and one single, as well as a suite and an apartment. All the rooms have air-conditioning, television, telephone etc. Some, including the Single and the apartment, have the benefit of a hydromassage shower. The attic suite is ideal for lovers, including as it does a private terrace and a hydromassage bath. The apartment is good family accommodation taking two people in the bedroom and two on the full-size sofa-bed in the lounge.
La Masieta is set back just far enough from the coast to avoid the tourist crush yet it is close enough that the more energetic might even decide to walk to the beach. For those who decide to take a short drive in the car, the whole of the Costa Dorada is available to them. Away from the beaches, there are lovely walking and cycling routes around. Finally, the nearby coastal railway provides a convenient way to get in to see Barcelona without having to stay in the city or battle with the traffic.
Restaurant:
La Masieta Restaurant offers a seemingly endless number of dishes of different styles to suit any palate. The preparation and presentation is exquisite, providing succulent meats, the freshest of fish and superb local vegetables. The homemade desserts are unforgettable. The specialities of the house are some typically Catalan dishes: snails "a la llauna", "calçots" and "xatonades". For breakfast, you can enjoy superb coffee and freshly-baked pastries in the La Masieta Café; a cosy little corner above the bodega which houses La Masieta's fine selection of wines and cavas. In high season the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. In low season it is open for breakfast and lunch every day except Tuesdays, and for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays only.

Historic sites
Places to visit:
Tarragona: Founded by the Romans, Tarragona's ancient walls are an emblem of historic Mediterranean culture. The Roman ruins are a reflection of the importance of the city since time immemorial; the amphitheatre, the Roman circus, and the most beautiful sights of a city that embraces the sea.
Monasteries at Santes Creus and Poblet
Wine and Cava Tour (Codorniu, Freixenet, Torres….)
Port Aventura: Enjoy the excitement of five different "worlds": Mediterranean, Polynesia, China, Mexico and the Wild West.
Barcelona: People write whole books about what to see in Barcelona. We only have room to say that there's far too much to do justice to in one visit.
What We Say:
"Here we have the answer for people who want to combine those traditional pleasures of Spain (sand, sea, sunshine and sangría) with a small, comfortable, friendly hotel well out of range of the high-rise resorts. (But don't forget that Tarragona has some of the most important Roman remains in Spain, so there's plenty more available if you want it.)"Guest Feedback:
"Thank you so much for introducing us to such an enchanting hotel. It was almost like stepping into another world. It was so quaint, with impeccable décor, simple but totally in keeping with the character of the place. It felt like home. The garden, although small, was exceedingly pretty and well tended with a splash pool to cool off in and an equally cool and relaxing lounge. We dined outside, much to my delight, under the arbour, and although on the expensive side[a family of four] the food was divine. Breakfast was taken in the café,which added to the charm as we were surrounded by Spanish banter and the waiters were most obliging. We couldn’t speak Spanish, and only one, had knowledge of a little English but we got by on gestures, goodwill and smiles." S.L.
"All 10 of us loved it - the pool was ideal to keep the kids happy and my wife and I really enjoyed the attic room with its lovely rooftop terrace. The staff were extremely helpful and I would recommend the hotel to anyone." D.W.
