This charming little hotel is situated in the tiny village of Fornalutx, in the heart of the Sierra Tramuntana mountains that meander right along the north coast of Mallorca. Fornalutx Petit Hotel is a jewel of old rural Mallorquin architecture. Many years ago it was a convent for nuns, then later the village school and now, totally restored, it is a little hotel oozing with character.

On the front side the hotel faces onto the village street while behind the garden and pool look out onto the mountains. The pool is small but very stylish, more like a private pool than that of a hotel. And if that is not enough, there is also a jacuzzi in the garden and a sauna in the house, for the use of guests. There are two marvellous terraces where guests can enjoy their breakfast each morning to the accompaniment of birdsong.

With just eight guest rooms, the atmosphere is personal and discreet. Each of the rooms offers comfortable accommodation with TV, telephone, internet, air conditioning, and so on.

The Tramuntana mountains are ideal for any holiday, with good walking country all around, the rugged scenery of the north coast on the doorstep, and beautiful sandy beaches within a short drive.

Restaurant:

Breakfast is normally served on the terraces outside. There is no restaurant in the hotel but there are 4 restaurants nearby that come highly recommended.

A credit card number and a 25% deposit is required to guarantee a reservation.

Cancellations:

Cancellation must be received in writing (fax or e-mail) no later than 30 days before arrival. Cancellations with 20 - 29 days notice before arrival are charged 10% of the booking. Cancellations with 8 - 19 days notice are charged 15% and cancellations with one week or less notice result in loss of deposit (ie 25% of the booking).
