Rafelguaraf is a peaceful little village among the Catalan-speaking part of the province of Valencia. An idyllic location in which to find this 19th-Century townhouse hotel, it provides a good base for those wishing to explore the lush scenery of this part of Spain, all while remaining fairly close the hotbed of contemporary culture that is Valencia city.

Its five guest rooms are made up of three double rooms and two twins, and are notable for their high ceilings. Two of the double rooms have private terraces which overlook the secluded garden, while the other has a Juliet balcony. The en-suite bathrooms are fitted with power showers. Rooms have free and high speed wi-fi internet and air con and heating. But to return to talking of tradition, it is clear the owners have not sought to removed many of the building's attractive original features, whether it be the barrel vaulted ceiling, hand-painted tiles, large fireplace or enormous doors, giving the sense of grandeur to the arrival.

The secluded swimming pool area is where the garden is found, with a terrace level housing a selection of plants. Guests can hire bikes, which is an ideal way to explore the local scenery.

Restaurant:

The restaurant is open to guests every day, serving dinner and breakfast. For non-guests, it is also open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, and owing to popular demand, it is advisable to make an advance booking for these days. With the wonderful ingredients all around in this fertile region of Spain, the chef has plenty at his disposal, and makes meals with various international influences with a "distinctly Mediterranean slant". Any dietary requirements you have can be taken into consideration with notice.

Cancellations must be received in writing (e-mail). Those received up to 14 days before scheduled arrival will have 50% of the deposit refunded. Those received less than 14 days before scheduled arrival will not get the deposit back.
