A rural boutique hotel in Guadalajara

An hours drive from Madrid city centre we find the Hotel Cardamomo, a place of elegance and tranquillity located on the Castilla La Mancha Castle Route and the Quixote Route, with views over rolling farmland, wooded hills and the beautiful Salado River valley.

Hotel Cardamomo underwent a complete refurbishment in 2008 and has great new facilities, a luxurious lounge, chic bedrooms and a relaxed atmosphere, so guests can truly unwind in this oh-so-tranquil setting.

The garden has sunny spots and shady spots, to relax, read or just enjoy the views across the valley. The small plunge pool has comfortable sun loungers, and it too is blessed with great views.

There are 13 bedrooms spread over two floors. Some standard rooms can accommodate a child along with two adults and the suites have space enough for a family with two children. It's not just space and style though: all the bedrooms are fitted out with air conditioning and central heating, a minibar, laptop safe, a full bathroom, hairdryer, telephone, plasma screen TV and wifi internet. In addition, the suites offer either a hydromassage bath or a hydro jet shower.

For adventure seekers the hotel organises 4x4 excursions, cycling tours, trekking on the protected natural reserve of Rio Dulce, or even a flight in a hot air balloon! For those whose preference lies with art and culture, there are guided tours of nearby Sigüenza (in Spanish and English) and reception can recommend numerous other interesting villages and places for a visit.

Restaurant:

The Romero restaurant offers alternative a la carte menus to suit the atmosphere of the different seasons. In summer enjoy a delicious meal out under the stars while the winter time is perfect for a romantic candlelight dinner next to the fireplace. The chef blends traditional dishes from the region, such as sirloin steak & boletus, with Mediterranean cuisine, and then adding oriental flavours to some dishes along the way. Wines from different regions in Spain have been handpicked to complement the dining experience.

Breakfast is from 9.00 till 11.00 and there is also a room service menu, snacks in the garden or around the pool, plus coffee and bar service.

Cancellations:

Normally, cancellations should be received in writing (fax or e-mail) at least 48 hours prior to scheduled arrival. Later cancellations will be charged for one night, or 50% of the booking in the case of bookings of 3 nights or more.
In holiday periods the deposit is forfeit when cancellations are received less than 10 days before scheduled arrival and the full amount is charged for cancellations at less than 48 hours notice.
