Hotel Can Cera is a totally new hotel opened in Palma in June 2011. “New” is not the full story though because this is a building with over 700 years of history. It has been changed, added to, reformed and redecorated over the centuries until its most recent conversion into a luxury hotel. This time the works have concentrated on blending the best features of those centuries of change with the needs of modern travellers, to create a hotel of distinction.

Can Cera is located within the walls of the old city of Palma, close to the cathedral, where history abounds but modern traffic is sparse. There are twelve guest rooms, each one individually decorated in a consistent style with antique furniture, contemporary paintings and a warmth of character that charms the visitor. Modern comforts can be taken for granted and there is even a complimentary minibar.

Beyond one’s room the hotel offers so much space and facilities for its guests. The Red Salon has comfortable chairs and sofas and antique furnishings ideal for relaxing before or after dinner. The Golden Salon provides more of the same, along with some impressive bookcases. The Library is a light, bright room perfect for reading, naturally. Or for more modern entertainment there is the TV lounge on the top floor, with large windows overlooking the main patio.

Guests seeking an outdoor space will find the terrace at the top of the hotel, with views over the roof tops of the old town. Others will appreciate the spa with sauna, Turkish bath, Jacuzzi, yoga, massage, and more besides.

Restaurant:

The Gastro Bar is a pool of modernity among so much history. Just like the surroundings, the cuisine is a fusion of tradition and new, where light dishes and tapas are lovingly prepared with prime ingredients. Open 13.00 to 15.30 and 20.00 to 23.30.

There is a cafeteria-bar too, open all day serving snacks and cakes, ice cream and a range of teas and coffees. All traditional recipes with a special Can Cera touch.

Daily breakfast is served from a buffet, with a la carte options.

A credit card number is required to guarantee a reservation.

Cancellations:

Cancellations should be received in writing at least 2 weeks before scheduled arrival. Cancellations between 1 and 2 weeks notice are charged 25% of the booking. Between 2 days and 1 week the charge is 50%. Later cancellations and no-shows are charged the full amount of the booking. Early departures are charged for 50% of the outstanding booking.
