A tiny hotel in Valencia province

Casa Aldomar is a newly restored 18th century house in the heart of the old quarter of Xativa, 50 metres from the birthplace of Rodrigo Borgia (the infamous Pope Alexander VI, 1492 - 1503, father of Cesare and Lucrezia Borgia) and the Royal Fountain of Aldomar.

The hotel retains much of its original character as a silk weaver's house. The guest living room still has its 18th century fireplace, beams and ceiling (dating from the reconstruction of Xativa after the city was burnt by Felipe V in 1707). The spacious patio offers you a peaceful green oasis where you can put your feet up after exploring the city's medieval streets or climbing to its mountain top castle.

The interior of the house respects its original configuration, and guests have the choice of four bedrooms located on the second and third floors. The decoration of the rooms combines contemporary elements with rural textures, designer lamps with hide rugs and whitened wood. Each room has a double bed and its own bathroom with a very large shower. The owners have restored the house so that its original character is respected yet allowing all modern requirements to be met in the least intrusive way. Local materials such as terracotta and wood have been combined. For the comfort and convenience of guests all Casa Aldomar’s rooms are air conditioned and equipped with heating and there is wifi access to connect your laptop throughout the house.

Restaurant:

Casa Aldomar does not have a restaurant, but breakfasts are served in the small breakfast room. There is freshly brewed tea and coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, seasonal fruit, cereals, fresh bread, a selection of local cheeses and low calorie options.

Deposit:

A credit card number and a 25% deposit is required to guarantee a reservation.

Cancellations:

Cancellation must be received in writing at least one month before scheduled arrival, in which case the deposit is refunded. Cancellations between 2 weeks and one month will be refunded half the deposit. Later cancellations will lose the deposit.
